I am a native North Texan. I was born in Dallas, a graduate of Midlothian High School, and a proud graduate of Texas A&M Commerce. I’m married to my husband, William. We have two awesome children, Ashley and Austin. We also have a beautiful dog named Goldie. As a family, we enjoy traveling and water sports.
I’ve been teaching young children since August of 2014. I have all CDA required courses from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. I’m a member of the professional organization NAEYC. My points of advocacy are literacy and nutrition.
My number one priority is a child’s spiritual welfare. I try to be very calm and engaging in my practice. When a teachable moment comes my way, I stop to make sure it doesn’t slip away. Giving background content for children to make meaningful connections to material presented is how it’s made relevant to them. In my classroom, a child takes home material items they’ve constructed, ideas in their head, and beautiful treasures in their hearts. The students in my classroom are loved and I hope that is what they take with them as they grow.
